What more could one say about a band where every member not only sings, but plays every instrument on stage. This extraordinary band, originally called 'Mirage' , before renaming themselves on Dec. 8th 1998 as 'Sri Mirage', played in different bands all over Europe for 6-7 years, and in 1987 decided to get back to their motherland, Sri Lanka to form 'Mirage'. Bagging awards like Most Promising Band, Best Dance Band, and Donald bagging the Best Male Singer.

Mirage bonded together to take on an assignment at El Rancho on 25 August 1994, where they have been entertaining music lovers since, and collecting a large fan following. The band brought out their own debut album, written and composed by Melantha, in 1997, called 'Let it Play'. Gavin, the sax exponent had his best night when he was awarded Best Vocalist of the Year in 1991. Interestingly Donald, the lead singer with awards like Best Vocalist of the Year and Best Male Singer under his belt can fan up a tornado on his drums. Donald is equally adept, just as the rest of his band, in every instrument they play on stage.

With music and sport as his hobbies, Kamal plays magic with his fingers on the guitar, while again able to stand in for any of his band on their instruments. His favourite band is Deep Purple. Chamal too has sports and music as his hobbies His favourite band is Dire Straits.

A band whose members have played with stars like Latoya Jackson, Boney M , Jonney Loargan and Jessi Elvis ( an Elvis impersonator), Sri Mirage play Pop, Rock n'Roll, Contemporary music from the '60's onwards to date, and also play their own Sri Lankan music on request.
