Description:

Showcases
handicrafts, traditional food, souvenir and gift
shop, and also includes submarine trips, scuba
diving, horse and camel riding, traditional games
and local bands on weekend, dhow cruises, pottery,
traditional medicine centre, traditional competitions,
Bedouin village and city village.
The site is being renovated by the municipality
to give it a touch of the past glory. The site
will also have windtower houses, modern promenades,
cafes and souks.

Description:
|
The
Fujairah heritage village opened to public in
1996 and describes life in U.A.E before the oil
boom. The village is 6000 square metres in area
and houses traditional homes, fishing boats, dhows
all of which have been constructed in palm leaves
(barasti) and as well as clay, stone, bronze implements
and pots, hunting and agricultural tools.
The heritage village is situated close to the
Al Ain Madhab Gardens which is located on the
foothills of Hajar mountains. The major attraction
of the village is its pool which is fed with warm
sulphur and spring water. There is also an outdoor
theatre which comes alive with folklore dances
and traditional singing, mostly during festivals.

Description:

The
Hatta heritage village is constructed around an
old settlement and is a recreation of a traditional
moutain village set in an oasis. The village helps
you discover the old world charm of barasti (palm
leaves) and mud houses. There's a large central
fort and tower which overlooks the village. Other
added attractions are falaj , an oasis and vegetated
seating areas where you can cool your heels.

The
Al Hisn Heritage museum was originally the house
of Sharjah's ruling family, the Al Qassimi.
The museum is located inside the 2 storeyed
fort built in 1820. It has range of artifacts
and rare photographs of sharjah's. Also there
is an introductory video footage on Sharjah
screened in the museum. The structure is built
in traditional courtyard style with 3 towers
on the surrounding walls and now has modern
buildings in its neighbourhood.

collection of the ruler, His Highness Dr.
Sultan. The displayalso includes oil paintings

Arts Plaza wears a new look after the
restoration. In addition to the Arts museum,
there is an arts centre, arts cafe, arts
library, and a studio for disabled artists.
Baid Obeid Al Shamsi is a large house
meant for visitors to amble around, and
also there are studios and exhibitions
around where you can buy art works or
wander around admiring art stuff of your
choice.
