Al Fara

Location:
Approx. 20 kms from Masafi
Description:

Green oases with palm trees and other plants.

Shuwayhah

Location:
6 kms west of village Ray

Description:

Large village with school a mosque. Down the village there are water pools, a steep wadi with beautiful waterfall upstream, moss and oleanders.

As a part of Hatta Pool safari conducted by tour operators or private trip by 4WD.

Hajar Mountain Wadis

Location:
18 km approx. from Masafi

Description:

Includes a small dam, shallow pool, flora and fauna including oleandres, bushes, insects and other native creatures.

Hatta wadis

Al Qahfi

Al Mawrid

Location:

Description:

The Al Mawrid has a small dam, shallow pool, flora and fauna that includes oleandres, bushes, insects and other native creatures.

Faya

Location:
Approx. 20 kms from Madam Roundabout, Al Dhaid-Madam Road

Description:

Flat wadi of compact sand and occasional puddles of water after the flood. This wadi is carrying the flood water from Hajar mountains to the desert. Lush greenery with variety of plant species including blooming shrubs and flowers after the flood. Sodom' Apple - a large poisonous shrub with white and pink flowers can be seen in abundance. Colorful birds, insects and reptiles make the visit especially interesting. Often herds of camels visit the wadi.

Note: Best time for visiting: After the flood (Usually in winter)

Laili

Location:
Approx. 30 kms inside the mountains from Hatta.

Description:

At 860 metres above sea level this wadi and its villages are the highest in the region. At its highest point you can get a breathtaking view of houses, old huts and palm groves down below. Note: Difficult gravel track.

Shuaib

Location:
Approx. 20 kms south of madam roundabout on Dubai-Hatta road or approx.15 kms in north-eastern direction from Dubai-Al Ain road.

Description:

The road passes through red sand dunes to palm and other fruit trees plantations, The oasis farm land has corn, sunflowers, vegetables and alfafla. This oasis has amenities like shops, electricity and running water and is more of a small town than a village.

Subaithah

Location:
Approx. 40 kms from Al Ain. (entry permit to Oman not required)

Description:

Wadi with mysterious contrast of barren land on one side and lush greenery on the other. The Wadi is surrounded by lush plantations which include palm, banana and other fruit trees. The wadi is also regarded as one of the best places for bird watching. Large colorful birds like parrots have been spotted here. The Village has traditional houses, falaj, crystal clear water pools hidden in the rocks in the end of the wadi.

Sharm

Location:
Approx. 6 kms from wadi khudayrah

Description:

Wadi Sharm has a wide body gravel bed with running water most of the time. The wadi is ideal for pickinicking but finding this place will a little tough without a guide with you. There is a falaj (irrigation pipe)running along the wall of the wadi into the palm groves rising above the edge of the wadi bed.

13 kms approx. off main Fujarah-Dibba road.

Description:

Beautiful wadi surrounded by mountains, falaj & palm plantations. Note: Tough Track for driving.

Ama

Location:
3 kms from Wadi Asima

Description:

Beautiful green wadi with cascading crystal clear water.Note: Difficult track, especially last 400 metres (depending on condition of the track, the last part might require some walking)
